Electronic components:The EU market for inductive components

In 2006, total EU imports were worth €2.4 billion, exhibiting an annual increase of 2.4% since 2002. Germany remained the largest importer, followed by France and the UK.

Moreover, developing countries (DCs) increased their share of exports to the EU, from 20% in 2002 to 25% in 2006. Allthough, China is still the largest DC supplier and far ahead of the following countries, Tunisia and Thailand, the other DCs, India and Sri Lanka exhibited also large growth in their exports to the EU.
