EU legislation: Asbestos in products

If you use insulating or fireproofing materials in your products and you want to export them to the EU, you have to make sure that they do not contain asbestos. Exposure to asbestos involves serious health risks. Therefore, the EU has laid down legislation which prohibits their marketing and use.
