EU legislation: Flame retardants in textiles

If you export textiles, such as garments, underwear, linen or protective textiles to the EU, you have to make sure not to use flame retardants which are forbidden by EU legislation. Textiles not complying with the legislation, will be withdrawn from the EU market. This document provides information on the types of flame retardants which are not allowed and provides an alternative for producers of protective textiles.
