|
For you as an exporter to the EU, carrying the FSC-certification logo on your products is an advantage. Dealing responsible with your company’s footprint cannot only reduce risk, but can enhance your social responsibility and support for the environment care. The FSC label is increasingly sold on the EU market. FSC labels stands for forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations. It applies to forests and plantations all over the world and is mainly used for timber (wood) products but also for non-timber forest products (NTFPs). This document outlines the main aspects of FSC as an organization but also presents the labels used and the procedure and monitoring process for gaining certification and FSC labels.
