Norway legislation: Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) of pesticides in food

If you export food products to Norway, you have to make sure your food products do not contain pesticides in levels that exceed the maximum residue levels (MRLs) established in the Norwegian legislation. Norway has set the MRLs to protect consumers’ health and safety. The Norwegian MRLs for pesticides are based on EU legislation.

This document provides information on the Norwegian legislation and gives references to legal texts and competent authorities. For more information on the EU requirements, refer to the related document.
